Do you dot areas of the face with your foundation before you blend the foundation with the brush?
I was just wondering whats the best way to apply foundation with a brush?

I think this is one of the top questions that I get asked by clients and I always tell people that have problems with a brush that you need good technique and the right brush. Where you start on your face with the brush does not necessarily matter, but the thing to remember is to blend, blend, blend. I usually begin in the cheek area on clients in order to blend into the neck because I'm sure as you know improper blending can cause a line of demarcation between the neck/chin area. As far as applying dots vs other techniques I like to apply it to the back of my hand and dip the brush into the foundation before applying it to the face. I think that no matter which way you choose to apply foundation the most important thing to remember is to blend because it's not supposed to look like you are wearing layers of makeup. Also, experiment with different application techniques and find one that you like and gives you the look that you want and the finish you would like on your skin.
